Family-Focused Versatility: 2025 EQB 300 4MATIC

The 2025 EQB 300 4MATIC serves families who need flexible passenger capacity in an SUV format. This compact electric SUV includes standard seating for five with an available third row that expands capacity to seven passengers. The optional third row works well for shorter trips with children or when carpooling becomes necessary.

The dual electric motors produce 225 hp combined and deliver power through 4MATIC all-wheel drive, important for Quebec winter driving conditions. The 330 km range suits daily driving within Laval, trips to Montreal, or weekend activities in nearby regions. The 70.5 kWh battery charges at up to 100 kW on DC fast chargers, reaching 80 percent capacity in approximately 32 minutes.

Cargo space ranges from 495 litres behind the second row to 1,710 litres with seats folded. The MBUX infotainment system includes Navigation with Electric Intelligence, which calculates routes accounting for charging stops, weather conditions, and topography.

Long-Distance Capability: 2025 EQS 450 4MATIC Sedan

The 2025 EQS 450 4MATIC Sedan targets drivers who prioritize range and luxury comfort. This full-size sedan delivers up to 597 km of range, making it suitable for longer trips without frequent charging stops. Laval drivers can reach Quebec City, Ottawa, or destinations in the Laurentides with fewer range concerns.

The dual electric motors produce 355 hp combined and 590 lb-ft of torque through 4MATIC all-wheel drive. The 118 kWh battery supports up to 200 kW DC fast charging, adding significant range during stops. The sedan includes AIRMATIC air suspension with adaptive damping and rear-axle steering that reduces the turning circle to 11.9 metres, improving maneuverability in urban settings.

Interior features include available MBUX Hyperscreen spanning the dashboard, Burmester sound system, and 620 litres of cargo space. The EQS focuses on refined comfort for professionals and couples who value a quiet, smooth driving experience alongside substantial range.

Performance and Technology: 2026 CLA 350 4MATIC

The upcoming 2026 CLA 350 4MATIC combines performance with advanced charging technology in a compact sedan format. The dual electric motors generate 349 hp and 380 lb-ft of torque, accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.8 seconds. Preliminary WLTP range estimates reach up to 771 km, the highest among these three models.

The 800-volt architecture enables fast charging capability that can add up to 300 km of range in 10 minutes at compatible DC charging stations. This rapid charging reduces wait times during longer trips. The CLA also introduces the first Mercedes-Benz frunk in nearly a century, providing additional front storage separate from the main trunk area.

The CLA 350 4MATIC includes 4MATIC all-wheel drive, a standard panoramic glass roof, and available MBUX Superscreen. The vehicle will arrive later in 2025, bringing its advanced electric platform and charging technology to the Canadian market.

All-Wheel Drive and Charging Infrastructure

All three vehicles include 4MATIC all-wheel drive, distributing torque between front and rear wheels as conditions require. This system improves traction on snowy or icy Quebec roads during winter months and enhances stability in wet conditions throughout the year.

Mercedes-Benz electric vehicle owners in Canada now have access to the Tesla Supercharger network in addition to other public charging options. This expanded access increases charging location availability across Quebec and throughout longer trips. All three models also support home charging through Level 2 equipment, allowing overnight charging at residences with appropriate electrical service.

Choosing Based on Your Priorities

  • EQB 300 4MATIC: Choose if you need three-row seating capacity, SUV cargo versatility, and a higher seating position. Range of 330 km handles daily driving and regional trips.
  • EQS 450 4MATIC Sedan: Select if long-distance capability matters most, with 597 km range reducing charging frequency. Luxury features and sedan comfort suit professionals and couples.
  • CLA 350 4MATIC: Consider if you want sporty acceleration, the longest preliminary range estimate (771 km), and 800-volt fast charging. Compact sedan format appeals to drivers prioritizing performance and technology.

Each model addresses different priorities while maintaining Mercedes-Benz electric vehicle features including MBUX infotainment, 4MATIC all-wheel drive, and access to Canada's growing charging infrastructure.
