Mercedes-AMG Unveils New GT 63 PRO 4MATIC+ at Goodwood Festival of Speed

Mercedes-AMG has announced the latest addition to its AMG GT lineup - the GT 63 PRO 4MATIC+ - at the Goodwood Festival of Speed. This new model promises enhanced performance and agility, particularly on the racetrack, while maintaining everyday usability.

Powerful V8 Engine Delivers Improved Performance

At the heart of the GT 63 PRO is a handcrafted AMG 4.0-litre V8 biturbo engine. This powerplant now produces 603 horsepower and 627 lb-ft of torque, representing increases of 26 hp and 37 lb-ft over the standard GT 63. The enhanced output allows the car to accelerate from 0 to 124 mph in just 10.9 seconds, 0.5 seconds quicker than its predecessor. Top speed is rated at 197 mph.

Advanced Cooling System for Sustained Performance

To maintain optimal performance during intense driving, Mercedes-AMG has significantly upgraded the cooling system. New radiators have been added to the front wheel arches, while top-mounted radiators cool the differentials and transfer case. Electrically operated water pumps ensure efficient heat dissipation, allowing for extended high-performance driving sessions.

Aerodynamic Enhancements Boost Handling

The GT 63 PRO features numerous aerodynamic improvements. A redesigned front fascia with carbon fibre air deflectors, an active air control system, and a fixed rear wing work together to reduce lift and increase downforce. Additional underbody air deflectors, inspired by the Mercedes-AMG ONE, further enhance aerodynamic efficiency.

High-Performance Components as Standard

The GT 63 PRO comes equipped with an AMG carbon ceramic brake system, featuring 16.5-inch discs at the front. Lightweight 21-inch forged wheels are standard, fitted with Michelin Pilot Sport 5 tires. For track enthusiasts, Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 R tires are available at no extra cost.

Interior Combines Sportiness and Comfort

Inside, the GT 63 PRO balances performance with practicality. AMG Performance seats provide excellent lateral support, while the spacious interior offers optional 2+2 seating. Advanced technologies such as AMG ACTIVE RIDE CONTROL suspension and active rear-axle steering further enhance the driving experience.

The Mercedes-AMG GT 63 PRO 4MATIC+ is scheduled to arrive at dealerships in 2025, offering a compelling option for those seeking a high-performance vehicle capable of excelling both on the road and track.
