Mercedes-Benz currently has one of the most impressive ranges of luxury SUVs in the world. With models in every segment and for every need, Mercedes-Benz offers an SUV for everyone in its showrooms. At the heart of its premium SUV lineup is the Mercedes-Benz GLC.

Replacing the popular GLK, the GLC is a compact luxury SUV that brings together the latest connectivity and safety technologies in a versatile format, and is also easy to drive in the city. With several engines and two bodies to choose from, there are plenty of options in the GLC family.

Which style do you prefer?

The 2019 Mercedes-Benz GLC is offered in a traditional version or in a coupe model. Both versions have four doors, but the profile of the GLC Coupe is slimmer and more sporty. Conversely, you still get 500 litres of cargo space in the coupe. The "normal" GLC offers 550 litres. In other words, you don’t have to make a lot of concessions in terms of interior space if you opt for the GLC Coupe.

In any case, the GLC comes standard with a 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbo engine developing 241 horsepower and 273 lb-ft of torque. Powering the GLC 300, this engine offers an interesting balance between performance and fuel economy with an average fuel consumption rating of less than 10.0 litres per 100 kilometres.

The GLC 43 offers 362 horsepower, which considerably increases its level of performance. Much faster, the GLC 43’s exhaust note is also quite pleasing to the ear. The ultimate model in the lineup is the GLC 63 S, which can reach 100 km/h in less than 4.0 seconds!

And for those who want to reduce their fuel bills as much as possible, the GLC 350e offers a plug-in hybrid engine that can travel more than 20 kilometres without using a single drop of fuel.

How 4MATIC All-Wheel Drive Works in the 2026 Mercedes-Benz GLE: A Look at the Drivetrain Technology

That flexibility is what makes the GLE feel planted on dry pavement and equally sure-footed on slick or unpredictable... Read more
